Hotel Policies


The Waterfront Hotel & Marina is committed to providing its guests and associates with a smoke-free environment. Since or opening, the policy has been implemented throughout the property and smoking is only allowed outside of our buildings.

The smoke-free hotel policy has received praise from guests, and the Waterfront remains committed to achieving a smoke-free environment that accommodates all of our guests. If you smoke in a room, lobby, hallway, or staircase, you will be charged a $250.00 cleaning fee. The continuing efforts of this policy are aimed at our commitment to be a more environmentally friendly company.


ADA compliant guest rooms are available and should be reserved in advance. For more information, please contact the hotel directly or speak with the front desk about your needs upon arrival.


Alcoholic beverages are restricted to those 21 years or older (with valid identification). Any person under 21 years of age in possession of or consuming alcohol will be in violation of Illinois State law.

Age Requirement

Guests must be 18 years or older with valid identification to reserve and check into a room.

Cancellation / Early Departure

Guest must cancel no later than 24 hours prior to the date of check-in in order to avoid cancellation fees and charges.

***Cancellations are possible to guests on religious/government holidays and any special event dates given advanced notice beyond 24 hours.***

Guests who check out of the hotel prior to their scheduled departure date are subject to an early departure fee of one night.


An extra person charge will apply if there are more than 2 adults in a guest room. Rooms can accommodate: 1 Adult –or- 2 Adults –or- 1 Adult / 1 Child –or- 2 Adults / 1 Child. A cot and necessary bedding may be available at an extra cost.

Guests may NOT have more than four (4) persons in a room at one time. Any guests not registered to stay overnight must leave by 12 AM.


One dog up to 25 lbs. is permitted but may not be left in the guest’s room unattended.  Dogs must be on a leash in public areas.  A pet waiver must be signed at check-in.  Our pet policy is exclusive to small dogs. No pets in non-pet rooms. If a pet is found in a non-pet room the guest will be charged a $250.00 cleaning fee.

Quiet Hours

The hotel enforces QUIET HOURS for the comfort of our guests; these hours are between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM on weekdays and 12:00 AM through 8:00 AM on weekends

Credit / Debit Cards

Debit and Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay. To cover incidentals, damages, or early departures; the authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.

Payment Policy

If paying with cash (no credit card for incidentals); a deposit of $250.00 and all payments due for the entire stay are to be paid upon arrival. Guests will receive the $250.00 deposit after inspection of room is completed upon check-out.
